Introduction
My name is Tiffany Gibson, and I am in the Master's of Education Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program Spring 2015 and will graduate Fall 2016. I graduated from The University of West Georgia in 2010 with a BacheIor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Immediately after graduation, I began substitute teaching since teaching positions were scarce. After a year I took a position as a paraprofessional which led to my full time teaching position with Polk School District.
My current position is in special educational Westside Elementary School in Polk County, Georgia. I currently work with 4th and 5th grade students. KSU's reputation in instructional technology led me to the Master's Degree program in the Department of Instructional Technology. I plan to continue with my education by pursuing my Specialist degree in Instructional Technology at KSU.
The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards and the ISTE NETS-C standards. As you can see, there are a series of links below the KSU logo that you can visit. Of particular importance is the "standards" link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University, and feel that I am well-prepared to integrate technology into my classroom and to assist other educators in using technology and providing professional learning opportunities for them.
